town of Twain Harte at 4,300 feet next to the Stanislaus National
Forest, and only 45 miles from the Carson Iceberg and Emmigrant
Wilderness trailheads. A short 20-minute drive takes you to Pinecrest
Lake and Dodge Ridge Ski Resort. Yosemite National Park is an enjoyable
hour and a half drive. |

family heirlooms. As you retreat to the brick terraces surrounding the
azalea gardens you will have a place to listen and enjoy the gentle
sounds of the Stanislaus National Forest. This lovely place has
become a bird sanctuary which offers the soothing songs of the mourning
dove and owl along with other birds of the Sierra Nevada. The
interesting variety of wildlife will also add a delight to your
